What I didn't know is that I had to give people a darn good reason to get on my website. But I had nothing to give…
Sure I had the skill set and a pretty good service. But how can I get customers if nobody knows about me? I had no extra money for ads, and I'm not some fitness influencer with an onlyfans page selling feet pics.
I had no idea where to start.
I randomly came across this Grant Cardone guy (hard to avoid him these days). He had a video about 10Xing. He basically said everything you're doing now, do 10x more.
“Is this far fetched or am I just lazy?”
It already seemed like I was strapped for time. I was already writing articles and posts and sending out emails. But 10x more? I don’t know about that one chief…
Then I thought about it… “If I flood the internet with a bunch of my stuff then surely someone would pick up on it” I pulled my boot straps then got serious.
I doubled, even tripled the amount of articles I wrote. I posted more value driven content on social media and basically gave away everything I knew for free.
Then it happened! I landed my first client.
I could see my website traffic steadily rising from all the stuff I was putting out but it still wasn't enough. I knew there was something to this that I'm just not getting.

I came across this whole “Google SEO” thing shortly after.
Had no idea what it meant. Seemed too complicated, just some more tech mumbo jumbo.
My business isn't Google based so I didn't think it really mattered.
I studied it anyway because maybe my clients could benefit from it. Glad I did because holy cow Google is friggin’ powerful.
This was pretty complicated stuff, so I worked extra hard to keep this process as simple as possible.

How To Boost Conversions By Supercharging Your Google Account
Your Google business account is the most valuable and powerful marketing tool you have for attracting local customers.
And yet, almost 83% of accounts are bottlenecked and sometimes buried so deep in Google’s engine that the sun don't shine.
Here’s how to fix that:
Step 1: Primary Search Category
Get it right, then you can soar to the top of the listing.
Get it wrong. You'll be virtually invisible.
If you're a snow plower for example, your primary business category needs to be “Snow Plower” since people are likely going to search “slow plowers near me”
(Bonus points if your company name includes your business category in it)
Let's say you snow plow in the winter and power wash in the summer, then you change your business category accordingly to keep your ranking.
Step 2: Use your keywords in your website
In your website make sure to include your Primary business category in a relevant way.
Don’t go repeating it over and over again, that doesn’t work. Try to put in in places that make sense, like inside your articles. This causes Google rank your website and articles higher.
Step 3: Reply to your reviews
Google likes it when you engage with your prospects. The more you communicate with them through Google chat or the review page, the higher you'll rank.
Make sure you reply to every single one, even the bad ones. Always be kind, professional and keep each review unique.
And for the love of God, Allah, The Lizard People, whatever you believe in — do NOT get into retard fights with customers in your Google reviews. I’ve seen business owners write Tolkien sized novels in response to a bad review. It’s the strangest thing!
Not only does it make things worse, you waste valuable time.
Just offer to try to fix whatever it is, if not. Apologize and move on.
