How To Build A Rock Solid Headline (Marketing That Sells - Part 1)

In every script, billboard, poster or ad that you make -- nearly 80% of your budget goes straight into the headline.

You can write a God tier script like Steven King and make an award winning advertisement BUT If your headline doesn't grab your reader by their throat in that first split second…

they will never consume the rest of your material.

Doesn't matter if it's clever, funny, or cheeky.  Your marketing guy isn't forcing anyone at gunpoint to watch your stuff so your potential prospect would end up doing the worst thing possible…

Nothing.

In this 3 part series, I will tell you exactly how to write a scroll stopping advertisement that will get you sales. And If you can truly grasp these tips, you will be able to make your words sell hot cakes.

Here we go.

The Guts Of A Scroll Stopping Headline

The headline needs to give your prospect a reason to pay attention. Most headlines are horrrrrendous, absolutely dreadful. And once you see it, I promise you could never unsee it again.

Your headline needs to be simple and it needs to tell the customer exactly what they'll get.

“Feed A Family Of 5 With Just $2.50”

“We’ll Get Your House Sold Within 60 Days Or We'll Pay You $1,500”

“Get A Ride Anywhere With Just A Push Of A Button”

Simple, clear and concise. Cutting straight into the heart of the matter.

You don't eveeeerrrr want to be vague. You'll blow your budget, and kill your ad’s performance quick.

Here's a good witness test for your headline.

Take your headline and put your response mechanism below then advertise that:

Is Your Sewage System Stinking Up The Place?

[QR Code]

Vs.

“Meet Fernando, Our Lead Carpenter”

[123-345-7890]

Vs.

“Is Your Mom Important?”

Which one do you think people would respond to?

If you guessed the first headline then you're on the money.

People aren't going to respond to the other two, why would they? There's no reason for them to take action.

Ok, so now that you've got your headline dialed in, we're onto the next step -- the body copy.

See you in the next installment.

Happy hunting,
